You’ll have to look twice.
Ceramic, not metal. Everything else about it stays the same.
Not invisible. Just not the first thing anyone sees.

Treatments / Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces
The same fixed appliance, with brackets in tooth-coloured ceramic instead of metal.
What it costs
The difference over metal is the material itself and the extra care it needs at both ends of treatment.
The difference
Ceramic brackets do the same job as metal ones and are much less obvious at conversational distance. They are not invisible, and the wire still shows.
The trade-offs, honestly
This is the option people choose for appearance, and it is worth knowing what that costs beyond the price.
- Ceramic is more brittle than metal, so a bracket is easier to break
- Treatment can run slightly longer
- The brackets themselves do not stain; the clear ties between visits can, with red wine, curry and smoking
- Removal takes longer and needs more care
Questions
What people ask
Will they stain?
The brackets do not. The small elastic ties holding the wire can pick up colour between appointments, and they are replaced at every visit.
Are they suitable for every case?
Not always. Where large movements or heavy forces are needed, metal is the safer choice. We will tell you at the consultation.
Is ceramic braces right for your teeth?
That is what the consultation answers. You leave with the options set out — including the ones you did not come in asking about — and an idea of what each would cost.
